When I Grow Up

Hey world, sorry I've been absent. Am just dropping in for an update and will do the rounds over the weekend.

First, several good newses!

1. The landscapers started today, should be finished tomorrow. I already have a patio and a walkway up the front YAHOO! Not sure how I'll pay off the credit card which is carrying the balance but....it is (likely) manageable.

2. Got two fillings today and they didn't hurt except for price ($356). Noticed that my dentist drives a white Porsche. Hmm

3. Our office is not being moved across town, as I predicted.

4. A fall federal election has been called (Oct. 14), also as predicted.

5. A study ('independent') is being carried on food safety YAHOO! Announced by the PM today.

6. Mom's new mattress was delivered on Wednesday. All went smoothly, she's very happy.

7. Sis is out of her horrid unethical office. Started her new job on Monday.

8. The one flaw/fly in the ointment at my office, the horrid little man who caused me so much grief in 1990, got fed up with his boss and quit. YAHOO again! I wasn't working with him but we were in the same organization and it was stomach-churning to see his ferrety little face. Glad it's gone.

9. The house inside still looks decent.

10. Had dinner with pal Doris today also YAHOO!

11. Am seeing pal of pals Pauly and his wife on Sunday YAHOO!

On the not so hot side, I feel very fat. Plus great pal Marc is leaving the office for a new job. His new boss is a rhymes-with-witch from my experience, so maybe he'll come back soon.
